Troubleshooting
Common AutoPubliX messages and what to do next. Most issues come from plan limits, a disconnected social login, or Meta messaging rules — not from a broken automation template.
Plan-locked social account
Plan locks apply to every connected network — Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and Threads — not only Meta. You may see messages such as:
- This Instagram account is locked on your current plan. Choose your primary account or upgrade to sync posts.
- The selected account or page is locked — triggers are paused until you upgrade or choose an active account.
- The selected account or page is locked on your current plan. Save as draft or choose an unlocked account before activating.
Why: each platform has a login slot limit — Free 1, Creator 3, Growth 5 (per network). Facebook also caps selected pages at 1 / 3 / 10 on those plans. Excess logins and pages stay linked but are plan-locked after connect or after a downgrade.
What to do: pick an unlocked account in the builder or publisher, free a slot under Settings → Social Connections, or upgrade on Subscription.
Premium automation or resource locked
Quick Reply Buttons, Custom Flow, Hide/Moderate Comments, Live Stream templates, Ice Breakers, and Persistent Menu need Creator or Growth. Media, generic templates, and forms beyond Free limits can show a Plan locked badge and are skipped when sending.
Ask for Emails / Ask for Phone Number collection also requires Creator or Growth — see All Contacts.
Reconnect social connection
Notifications or automation errors may say the session was invalidated, the access token expired, or you need to reconnect Instagram, Facebook, X, or LinkedIn.
What to do: open Settings → Social Connections, disconnect if needed, then Connect again and approve all requested permissions. Instagram must be a Business or Creator account.
Monthly DM budget reached
Automated DMs count toward your plan budget: 3,000 on Free, 50,000 on Creator, and Unlimited on Growth. When you approach or hit the limit, AutoPubliX shows alerts in Notifications and on Subscription. Further automated DMs pause until the next billing period or you upgrade.
Messaging window or private reply limits
Meta only allows certain automated replies within a messaging window after the user messages you, or via private reply rules on comments. You may see that a reply is outside the allowed window, invalid for a private reply, or that the activity cannot be replied to.
What to do: these are platform rules, not AutoPubliX outages. Prefer comment → private reply / DM flows soon after the comment, keep Welcome DM and Ice Breakers for new conversations, and avoid expecting unlimited follow-up DMs days later without a new user message.
Still stuck?
Check the in-app Notifications center for reconnect and limit alerts, or use the in-dashboard AI support chat when available. Share the exact on-screen message (plain text) with support — not raw API JSON.
