Persistent Menu Automation

The Persistent Menu (template name Show Chat Menu) adds a lasting menu in Instagram or Facebook chat. Users open the menu icon anytime to tap a Web URL or a Postback action. Create separate templates per platform under Conversation Entry Points.

Plan Access and Scope

Creator and Growth — create and save (Free is locked)
One Persistent Menu per Instagram account, and one per Facebook Page
After the first save, edit the existing automation — you cannot create a second menu for the same account/page

Forever Free follows Growth access. In Share My Access, if the plan is locked, ask the account owner to upgrade. The automations list may show this as Chat Menu; the builder title is Persistent Menu. Reconnect in Settings → Social Connections.

The platform is fixed by the template (Instagram or Facebook). Select the Connected Account or Facebook Page. Like Ice Breakers, there are no keyword Triggers and no They Will Get section — only the menu list and save actions.

Persistent Menu Setup

Add up to 10 items with Add Menu Item. You must add at least one item before saving.

Menu Item Types

Title (required, 2–30 characters) — label shown in the menu
Web URL — opens a webpage; provide an HTTPS URL
Postback (Action) — sends a chat reply; provide a Payload (up to 500 characters) that AutoPubliX sends as the message

How Persistent Menu Works

After Save and Activate, AutoPubliX syncs your menu to Instagram or Facebook. A menu control stays available in the chat composer so users can open your items anytime during the conversation — not only when the chat first opens.

That is different from Ice Breakers, which appear only for a new conversation (or after chat history is cleared) and disappear after one selection. The Persistent Menu remains usable for the rest of the session while the automation stays active.

When someone taps an item: Web URL opens your link; Postback (Action) sends your Payload text as a DM reply from AutoPubliX. Saving as Draft or Save and Deactivate removes the live menu from the connected Instagram account or Facebook Page until you activate again.
